Feral Hog Hunting

This West Texas ranch, aided by natural grassy landscapes and  thick brush is feral hog country. In the late 1990's hogs began to migrate to this region and now can be found throughout the ranch.  Aided by dogs equipped with GPS collars, Ernie can make this night time activity an adventure.  Try this hunt on its own or add a hog hunt to your Texas trophy whitetail deer or turkey hunts.  This trip is a night hunt and may last for hours. You will drive to different locations on the ranch until the dogs pick up the hog scent.  Using the GPS equipment you will follow the dogs.  Be prepared to trek through the pastures and capture the hogs.   Use of baited traps and baited locations increases the chances of seeing a hog. Please check with Ernie (guide) as to what type of weapon may be used.
